The New Appointment Group (NAG)

The group has now met for the first time and begun the work of preparing the Parish Profile as the process of appointing a new vicar commences.  

Please pray for Geoff, Janet, Jeremy, Lis, Debby and Brennan as they meet in the weeks ahead.

The New Appointment Group looks like this:

Parish Representatives:

Geoff Heyes Parish RepresentativeGeoff Heyes –  Geoff Heyes is Vice Chair of the PCC  and also serves on the Welcome Team and runs the Freedom course with Antony. He works at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital as a Medical Physicist in the radiotherapy department. He attends the 9.15 am service.

 

Janet Ryland Parish RepresentativeJanet Ryland – “My current Church responsibilities include being one of the Deputy Wardens and a Welcome Team Leader. I am Chair of the PCC Human Resources Group and a member of the Living Stones Vocations Team. I usually attend the 9.15 am service.”

Jeremy Thompson NAGJeremy Thompson – Jeremy Thompson works for Restore supporting refugees in Birmingham.  He is married to Jo, and has two primary school aged children.  He is involved in the Christmas Tour, Welcome Team and a Home group.  He attends the 9.15 am service.

 

Lis Whybrow NAG

Lis Whybrow – “I have been at St Johns since the 1980s, including five years at B1 church.   I am married to Rob and we have three children. I work as a solicitor with the elderly and vulnerable.  I usually attend the 6.30 pm (or 11am) services.

 

 

Church Wardens

Debby Bridge Church WardenDebby Bridge – “I am a Church Warden, and serve on the Freedom Course and church flowers teams.  I lead a Home Group with John and we have two married children. I work part time as an NHS Dentist.  I attend all three services according to my Warden duties.”

 

 

 Brennan Horne       Brennan Horne – I am married to Jill. In my day job, I am an accountant, desperately trying not to be boring. At church, I help out with Alpha, the Freedom course and occasionally prayer ministry. We love to travel, so when not in Llandudno or Harborne, we may be in Saigon. I attend all three services, although not necessarily on the same day!
