Happy Smiles All Round!

Healthy Snacks and DrinksWe had bright smiles in Toddlers this week when Claire Poole from Keystone Children’s Centre came in to talk to us about healthy teeth.

We enjoyed learning about brushing our own teeth as well as brushing the enormous set of teeth that she brought with her and her toy horse’s brilliant set of teeth!

She left us a song to learn at home and a reminder about healthy snacks.

It was lovely to welcome several new mums this week. We hope you all enjoyed your time with us and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Next Monday, 18th May, Dave and Angie Atkins will be holding a Cake Sale in aid of their trip to Malawi in the Summer. Dave and Angie and several other teachers from St John’s are giving up their time to work with teachers and head teachers in Malawi sharing teaching and leadership strategies. Please bring some cash with you to support them by buying cakes. The money raised will be used to pay the conference expenses of some of the Malawian teachers. We wish all those going from St John’s a fantastic and rewarding trip.

Holiday Club invitationEvery Summer St John’s runs a More Than Words Holiday Club for children aged 5-11 years. This year it will be run from Thursday 30th July to Saturday 1st August between 10am and 2pm plus the 10am Sunday Service which parents are invited to. Cost £3 per day. The theme this year will be  Superheroes and the fact that God’s words have power! Registration is now open so if you wish to sign your children up online then please follow this link.  It is very popular. The children all have a great time so sign up soon!

Have a good week, and keep brushing!

See you next week
