Mike DownMike Down tells us about the purpose of the trip to Malawi
“This ceilidh has been organised to raise money for Malawian teachers to travel across Malawi, and for their accommodation and food, so that they can take part in a week of inspirational training and workshops facilitated by Birmingham teachers travelling to Malawi this summer.

“It is a rare chance for some Malawian teachers to share and receive new skills and ideas in education as part of the Malawi-Birmingham Partnership.

Members of St John’s who are going as part of the team are: Mike Down (leader); Dave and Angie Atkins; Caroline Porter; Ian Shelley; Lucy Ward.
