Nigel Swinford, Director New English Orchestra

The NEO led worship at the Young People’s Vigil in Hyde Park last September during the Papal Visit. Afterwards as he was leaving the platform Pope Benedict XVI shook hands and congratulated Nigel, and the NEO for their part in the event. The NEO felt privileged to be there as the Pope’s message was so Christ-centred, exhorting young believers to seek the Lord and find out what He had for them in their future lives.

Pray for Nigel. He has re-started his BBC work. He presented the Daily Service on June 8th.

Other NEO events in 2010 included a week of ministry in Salzburg, plus an outreach tour in Rome at the Pantheon and St John Lateran Church. On top of this were various Invitation Concerts including one at St Hilda’s Church, Smethwick.

Julie Fry, Central Administrator of the NEO

All this comprised an enormous effort in terms of administration, with a large amount of the responsibility falling to Julie. Pray for the NEO as it is currently taking a much-needed sabbatical after a decade of continuous innovation and ministry in various countries of Europe.

The NEO’s CDs continue to make an impact even whilst they are in recuperation mode, especially Lord of the Music, which is being used as an evangelistic tool. Pray for all these aspects of the NEO’s work.
