Dave and Angie Atkings“We need people from St John’s who are willing to deliver and collect envelopes from about 60 houses each in Harborne, during Christian Aid Week, May 10th – 16th.

“If you are willing to help please contact us on Dave & Angie Atkins.

“In total our volunteers collect from 1703 houses in Harborne.

“Last year St John’s volunteers collected over £3000. If we could raise the same amount again our church alone could buy 600 cows and 600 families could be given the opportunity to radically improve their quality of life.

“Joining together to collect is a great opportunity for families, student groups, home groups, Talk Togethers, M/Nets, individuals, ANYBODY to get involved  in helping families less fortunate than themselves (and as a bonus making contact with people in our parish).”

In 20,000 churches were involved nationally and £11,000,000 was raised.
