40th Birthday Celebrations!

Julie Fry

Julie Fry Administrator

The NEO and Singers celebrate 40 years of ministry in 2016. This is what they say about it:

There is a very happy birthday coming up next year! We wanted to give you advance notice that NEO will be celebrating its 40th Anniversary at Birmingham Town Hall on Saturday 16th Januay 2016 and we would love to share this with as many of you as possible – hence our plan to provide both matinee and evening performances.

Founded in 1976, the very first concert was perforned in the Town Hall under the name of ‘The Feast of Praise Orchestra’ on January 2nd while a howling gale and storm whistled through the city leaving considerable devastation! (We could write more than a few paragraphs on how often since then our audiences have joined our various musical banquets all over Europe and the UK in the midst of the most extaordinary weather…)

No doubt there will be a suitably varied programme and perhaps even time for Nigel Swinford to share the odd memory from the platform!

Don your festive outfits beneath warm wrappings, and come and join us.

Perhaps you could consider purchasing a ticket for a loved one as a Christmas 2015 gift. We would love to see you – and if you happened to have been present at that first concert, we would love to hear from you too!
