CraftTuesday 17 February 2015 from 12 noon to 3pm.

This is a great opportunity to show welcome and hospitality to some of the refugee and sanctuary seeking families who live in our city.

We are looking for male and female volunteers to help on the day and for people to bake cakes please.

Volunteer tasks include:

serving drinks,
helping with simple craft activities,
chatting to guests,
blowing up balloons
washing up.

Restore Family Party CakesWe hope there will be 70+ guests (children and their parents) so we will need a mountain of cakes and cookies for the party and for doggy bags to take home, please.

If you can volunteer on the day, or bake a cake then please sign up at the welcome desk or contact Jeremy Thompson (Befriending Co-ordinator at Restore) on

Young girl dressed upJeremy comments, “St John’s has been generously hosting and funding this wonderful annual party for well over a decade.  The craft, food, clown and games are thoroughly enjoyed by the children and appreciated by their parents.

“We know for some of our guests this will be only special activity they do during half-term week.  Thank you St John’s for partnering with Restore and making this event possible.”
