A Lenten Retreat in Daily Life

Cross shaped windowAn invitation to take part in ‘A Lenten retreat-in-daily-life’

The Retreat will open on Saturday 14th February at 3pm in the Conference Room at St. Mary’s RC Church Vivian Road Harborne and close on Saturday 28th March at 3pm.

People who make this kind of retreat pray at home each day (if possible) with a passage of Scripture and once a week meet with a trained prayer-guide to share (in confidence) how the prayer went.

The purpose of the retreat (RIDL) is to encourage the retreatant to explore his/her relationship with God.

Prayer-guides come from different Christian denominations and have themselves experienced an individually guided retreat and then trained to listen without approval or disapproval.

The individual meeting is arranged between the Prayer Guide and the Retreatant.

For further information please contact Mary Sambrook on 429 5835 or marysambrook@gmail.com

In previous years when a Retreat-in-Daily-Life has taken offered from St Mary’s Church some members of St John’s have made the retreat. The response has always been postive so we encourage you to consider this initiative.
