Christmas Services for Older People

Catriona Foster

Catriona Foster our Older People’s Pastor is very busy at this time of year.

Here she lists what is going on and how we can pray.

Brownies singing at Field House

Monday 8th  December 6.30 pm –

Some of the older Monday Brownies entertained residents at Field House Care Home. This was a wonderful event with the Brownies taking part in singing and speaking.

Friday 12th  December 12.30 & 3.00 pm – volunteers are providing transport for the Karis Neighbour Scheme Christmas party

Saturday 13th December 2.00 pm –
The Kenrick Centre Carol service.  The Kenrick Centre is a  large, modern, purpose-built Council Care Centre situated in Grove Park.

Catriona reports that: “This is the third Christmas we will be leading a carol service there.  The service will be largely geared for the residents who have dementia, but we hope that staff, relatives and other service users will join us. Pray that God will touch the hearts of the residents as the Christmas story is told and familiar carols are sung.”

Monday 15th December 2.30 pm –
Christmas service at Field House Care Home

Tuesday 16th December 2.30 pm –
Christmas Service at Timber Mill Court

Catriona speaking:  “We lead a service at Timber Mill Court every Easter and Christmas and are always made very welcome.  Pray that a good number will be able to attend the service and that they would be responsive to the message.”

Wednesday 17th December at 2.30pm –
Christmas Service at Pinner Court

Pray for Catriona leading, and the teams of volunteers who will be helping at these events.
Pray that all who are present will be impacted by these services.
