Calling all singers!

Adult Choir cartoonThe Christmas Choir needs you – all abilities welcome – reading music helpful but not essential.

The choir will be singing at the main carol service at
7pm on Sunday 21st December.

We shall be singing the usual selection of carols as well as a specially written version of ‘Silent Night’ to commemorate the 100yr anniversary of the start of World War One and the famous truce that occurred on Christmas eve in the trenches – German and British soldiers joined their voices together singing ‘Silent Night’ (or ‘Stille Nacht’), followed by sharing greetings, gifts and a game of football.

Choir rehearsals:
Sunday 30th November 4pm-6pm Upper Room
Sunday 7th December 4pm-6pm Upper Room
Sunday 14th December 4pm-6pm Upper Room
Saturday 20th December 9am-10.30am Main Sanctuary, followed by Carols on the High Street 11am-12pm
Sunday 21st December 4.30pm Upper Room followed by the Carol Service at 7pm

Please contact Marcus Pagnam or Katherine Eldred to get involved as together we sing ‘Christ the Saviour is born’.
