Gerard Le Feuvre, whose musical inspiration is fuelled by his Christian faith, is an internationally renowned cellist and chamber musician who has performed widely as a soloist, in many of the country’s finest chamber orchestras.

For some years Gerard was Director of Education for the London Festival of Chamber Music where he developed many ideas for drawing in children to the thrilling world of live music. In 1985 he founded the Kings Chamber Orchestra as a Christian community and professional London-based orchestra. Today the orchestra has a global following, and gives numerous concerts each year with an annual winter tour. Those who have yet to encounter KCO should expect spontaneity and in every programme the orchestra gives they make at least one improvisation, for which they have earned an enviable and well-founded reputation. During our winter tour at each venue the Kings Chamber Orchestra will be giving two performances:

Stars in the bright sky4.30pm Family Concert, The Stars in the Bright Sky…

…will capture the imagination of children with plenty of hands-on fun. Audiences are invited to bring a Teddy and families are able to sit together, so that the programme designed for families to interact with each other and the orchestra, will have maximum effect.

“Grab your children and get along, or if you don’t have your own, grab someone else’s (with proper permission, naturally) and pretend you’re there just for the kids.  You’ll have a whale of a time…”  (Local press)

8.00pm The Light FantasticEvening Concert, The Light Fantastic…

…finds the Kings Chamber Orchestra in search of the starriest music in their repertoire. Gerard’s unique style and presentation contrasts moments of tremendous humour with more touching elements in the orchestra’s life and music. This year KCO will perform Biber, Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky, Strauss, Paganini and others, with seasonal surprises.

“Please convey my sincere thanks to all the members of the Kings Orchestra for a truly memorable evening. The concert yesterday was wonderful. I came away on a cloud of euphoria and am convinced I will be loathe to go to another concert however well regarded the orchestra are, as I know they will not have the passion and love the Kings Orchestra gave to us last night.  God bless you all and come back soon  —  please.”
