If my People… will humble themselves and pray …

An Evening of Worship and Prayer for the whole church
Wednesday 2nd July
7.30pm to 9pm
In the Main Sanctuary at St John’s

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways,
then I will hear them from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14

Sanctuary PosterFrom September we are re-launching the Wednesday prayer and worship evenings as ‘Sanctuary’.
Wednesday 2nd July will be a taster for how these will feel.

Sanctuary
Sanctuary is a new prayer and worship event at St John’s.
It will be held on the 1st Wednesday of every month, 7.30pm-9pm.   Dates are: 3rd September; 1st October; 5th November; 3rd December

It is called Sanctuary because when you arrive at church you are stepping into an intimate and safe place with God, where He is known and His presence experienced.

We will enter with thanksgiving and praise.
We will gaze upon the Lord, open to be transformed and ready to encounter Him powerfully.
We will sing, pray, listen, intercede, and share as the Lord directs.
We believe that as we posture ourselves before God in this way, Living Waters will flow to nourish and equip us as we move forward under His leading.

I entered the sanctuary of God;
then I understood
Psalm 73:17

Yet you are holy,
enthroned on the praises of Israel
Psalm 22:3

Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
Psalm 100:4

One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.
Psalm 27:4
