Autumn Alpha Course at St John’s

Alpha - is there more to life than thisSt John’s Church runs an evening Alpha Course every autumn and spring.
Each evening begins at around 7pm, and is usually finished by 9.30pm.

The 2014 autumn Alpha course starts on 23rd September

To make an inquiry about the Alpha course email the Alpha team and we’ll be in touch.

Guests come on the Alpha course for many different reasons; some want to investigate whether God exists and some have questions they’d like to discuss.

Many guests have never been to church and others may have attended church but feel they have never had a personal understanding of the Christian faith.

The Alpha course consists of a series of talks, looking at topics including ‘Who is Jesus?’ and ‘Why and how do I pray?’,
Each week has a standard format. We meet for supper, and each talk is followed by discussion in small groups.
Towards the end of the course there is also an option of attending an Alpha weekend away.

We don’t assume any background knowledge of or belief in Christianity and everyone is welcome, wherever you’re starting from.

Alpha runs every Tuesday for eleven weeks. “You don’t have to sign up for the whole course straight away – you are very welcome to come along for the first night to see what you think. If you are interested in attending please email Sharon Bryant“.

Alpha Mark-Red_Med-01Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in an informal, fun and friendly environment.
